Not sure what this is. Me and my friends speculate it is a main cabin for possibly an old camp ground of some kind. It has what we think are two bathrooms, an indoor & outdoor fire pit, a gravity waterfall, and then a main room area up some stairs. It's not very big. But the area outside, there are no cabins nearby. Maybe tent camping site? But there is a house next door (the owner) and that house is definitely newer than this building so I am not sure. Why leave this building up but tear everything else down if there was something? Anyways, while wandering around on their property to get back to my car, I found some remnants of either old foundation, or an old dam. A half-assed treehouse. And a random house with some weird insulation in it. It's also pretty slanted and about to fall off it's foundation. If this is the spot I think it is, it was once a meditation resort. I've got a few buddies that have explored it. Sounds like its been unused since the 70s.

That's what my friends were told also (probably they all know each other lol) but you can't have a resort without rooms and there are no rooms or building remnants of them. There is an abandoned meditation resort in Paradise Springs, WI but that place is NOTHING like this one. I do not believe it is a meditation resort because there isn't any hard evidence that I have found saying it is. It doesn't sound like you have explored it. If you had been there, I think you would agree with me. It just doesn't make sense.

I have not yet! I don't get to explore outside of Iowa very often.. However, it does sound like we may have some friends in the same circles! Maybe I will bump into you sometime!
