~ Ghosts on Wheels ~

Bloody hell, my work didn’t end, at least not yet. Anyway, here we go with collection of wheels that I’ve photograph lately…

First One: someone did ask me, have you check them? I was like ”what"? He did give me address and I was even more ”WHAT”? So one too sunny and cold morning I did get there, to place that I’ve drive by maybe thousand times. Of course I were first searching them from the wrong side of road, it was hard 1 hour hiking over the hills and faraway. Then, when getting back to my car I did see them immediately at the other side of that road, maybe 50 meters away. Bloody hell! How I haven’t see them before???

Second One: one dude did ask me, do you know that… and I didn't. These were maybe 100 meters from the road that I've driven quite many times. Amazing place.

Third One: classic thing to happen. One abandoned farm starts to rule my mind, so at cold saturday morning I did have to return. But before that, these two cars from nearby there.

Fourth One: I was on the road with my brother. At one point he did ask ”have you ever look into that partly collapsed barn”? No I wasn’t, and I didn’t plan to look there now neither. He kind of force me, and bloody hell – it was worth it! Old Ford Taunus there were.

Fifth One: that falling barn at the side of my hometown did come into my mind. So… it was time to return.

Sixth One: that old, lonely farm in the middle of nowhere… with few cars there.

Seventh One: I did get evening off from work, so it was time to get on the road. At the end of that 5 hour roadtrip I did return to this place. Small farm on small hill in the middle of fields. Wind was stormy and there still were BIG trees standing, even some of them were fallen down since my last visit, so it was pretty… scary place to be at that evening.

-----

So there were some wheels. And next… traditional off-topic-bonus-hyper-extra-shit-shot. Taken same day with last post’s bonus picture, but at the end of that snowfall:

Thanks for scrolling this far.

Cool set Wolfheart
Seems that one owner liked orange... a lot.
Is that car with an Elk emblem on the steering wheel a Volvo?

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

In Europe, most of those cars would be considered as "legendary" vehicules because we don't often see them. That's weird to see such cars in places like this.
Cool set anyway !

Awesome shots, Wolfheart! Those first couple are pretty cool, but I love that interior pic with the barb wire. Looks like quite the journey. 😊
Thanks for sharing, and Kippis to you, sir!

Thank you very much! And what comes to cars and driving... I did loose my driving license yesterday while going to photograph. Long, 30 meters wide straight without any cars - time to test how our new (just 21 years old) Golf goes. At 150 km/h first car did appear far away front, and of course it was police car. Over half thousand euro fine and driving licence away for 1-6 months. Fine is bad, but that loose of license is even worst. Month would be ok, but longer time... holy hell, I will go mad without photographing. Wish me luck, please. And yeah, this was my first speeding ticket since '90s. Even those cops did say they were at wrong place at wrong time.

Anyway, that Elk emblem car is Volga, made in USSR.

Yeah, I suppose we have here in Finland lot of cars forgotten that are quite rare elsewhere. Probably because even Finland never were taken over by USSR, there were that kind of trade thing; it was long easier to get east made car here than others. But since then we've taken that back. If I'm not wrong, we have most American made cars here in Finland than any other European country.

Wow, I'm taken by this comment: thank you very, very much! Luckily there is few sets still waiting to be publish, after those it might be quiet for a while, check my answer to first comment. Anyway, this absinthe goes for you: CHEERS!

Another wow. Thank you sooo much! I always fear that people get over filled with my photos, but comments like these show that there still are people who... well, have very good or very bad taste. And I appreciate that! Lot!

Yeah, and I'm so happy that after loooong "why I can't find any of those" even I have start to find some of them, and get more by other people. I love them too.

And yeah, second day of this 4 days Easter holiday is ending, it's 23:26 at saturday now. Sad thing is that I did loose my driving license at Friday morning for at least month, but probably for longer time. And that sucks. But yeah, it was my own fault to try how much speed I can get with our car on empty road. Anyway, few sets are still waiting so... cheers!

Really cool pictures man. That blue car in the barn looks like it could be made road worthy again.

Thank you very much, and it really does, and actually one of my Instagram friend did start to ask where and who's, because his son or something like that have saved much more worst cars. So let's hope it will be saved. And I can tell that here in Finland people have made rods etc. from so worst beginnings that even that pond sinking car could be one of those - if it would be '32 Ford or something like that.

This ain't so much of that, but at least some kind of look to that madness, even it happens in Canada, but hey, Finnish guy. Excellent film, worth of watching:

That was really well said - I must remember that too. And so it does, and even more now when I am out of my driving licence - week ago friday 150 km/h at 100 km/h... and it's gone for 1-6 months. That sucks, but there's no one to blame than me (and bad luck which is what police did say too) so... cheers!
