Should I take and develop them or should I leave them alone? My worries are finding something potentially incriminating or disturbing and getting arrested... There was like 10 of them. All of them were from 2015 to 2017 inside a plastic bag and were all at the zero mark. Seems kindof sketchy. Atleast to me... Personally I'm thinking of just leaving them alone. But my curiosity is gnawing at me a bit and if it is something criminal then I'm sure the police would use it but like. It just seems really sketchy. At the same time it could just be some documentation of the property by whoever owns it...

If your uncle Jack were stuck on a roof. And he asked for your help. Would you help your uncle Jack off? |

Well it is true. I did find some cameras in an abandoned/vacant property. I assume this is a indirect way of saying "leave it alone".
Fine by me to be honest. It is just rather strange. Finding them gave me bad vibes.

Could you shoot a double exposure set of your own over it and then have one developed?

I'm not too familiar with film and the development of it. What do you mean?

I wonder if someone on here could develop and scan the rolls for you. I would volunteer but I don't have a film scanner (definitely buying one after this shutdown)

Years ago, I was at a family wedding and there were disposable cameras on the tables so people take pictures at the wedding. Certain nefarious characters took the camerass into to the bathroom and took a picture of someone's bare butt with each camera and then put them back out on the tables.
That being said, you don't know what's on them until you develop them. The best thing to do is to develop them yourself on the off chance that they contain pictures things that could get you arrested. Photo finishers will not hesitate to call the police if there are illegal pictures on the film. That's the reason that Polaroid instant cameras were called "perv cameras". Developing film is actually not that difficult. Three baths. Developer, fixer and rinse. That will give you negatives which you can look at and then determine if they're safe to take to a photo finisher to have them printed.

Though question here. Of course you could develop yourself as indicated with three baths but you'll need the products + the protections + you can't do that in your sink because some chemicals are very bad for environment. Can be a pain in the ass to take care of that. I would be too curious not to try but too lazy to try. Technically it's not in contradiction with the urbex motto : take only pictures leave only footprints ;)

Getting a tank, a reel and the products is not hard. My point was dealing with the chemicals might be hard when you don't know anything about film development.

Explosives are different from cameras possibly containing child porn or some other illegal shit. Try again.

Thats how I'm feeling about it. Seems like alot of work. That and I don't know if I want to open whatever can of worms this is. I asked this site because as your last sentence states... It seems like kindof a gray area. And possible more serious legal matters may exist on those weirdly located cameras. In a 20s Era metal factory.

Drama? Please, this isn't it. I think you're playing us... You posted it on the Main Forum too. -or- The cams were kept in cars in the event of an accident. Much easier to leave junk where you find it. Managing the images is time consuming enough. In closing... pics or it never happen Of course you know this will go on your permanent record.

Very true, I guess I wasn't thinking about the perspective of someone who doesn't shoot film having to learn about the entire process of developing.

Okay. Permanent record? Haha. I could much less care if a question I asked about theoretical happenings gets put on a record. All I asked was a simple question and you came in here with at first a decent post. And then steadily degenerated into trolling or whatever it is you do. for no real reason. I planned on headed back to that place to get pictures anyway. I have to wait for a time when I can head there at early morning and let the sun rise while I'm in because I want to get good shots of the place. And the road it's on is too busy to just willy nilly waltz in at daylight.
By the way there is no way that the cams from 2k15-2k17 got put in cars of a company that went defunct in the 80's.
