Let's try again and keep it to FIRST PERSON ACCOUNTS of what's going on in your area, if you're getting out exploring and actual news. If you want to interject opinions about things outside of those constraints: SHIPS AHOY!

684 deaths in the UK today, it's going to keep increasing over the weekend but hopefully around Tuesday time we will begin to see the effects of the restrictions put in place.

I hit every light as a green today and made it to work in under 10 minutes. It usually takes closer to 30 for my 3 mi commute so pretty good start to a Friday. We haven’t had to raise the level of emergency plan for our system this week yet either so there’s that

Seeing that many in S. Africa still believe in the Tokoloshe*, yeah they are fucked.
*How the people I met from S.Africa pronounce it rather than Tikoloshe.

I was just in Walmart. This store in Fort Dodge, Iowa has the GM doors out of service and is funneling everyone through the grocery doors with people entering and exit from opposite sides. They're not doing headcount or limiting the number of people in the store.

They were here. All coming/leaving on same side. It's a busy store. The cashier knew she was in a bad spot. Didn't think shopping at Walmart could get any worse then it already was... I was grossly mistaken. Line in, line out. perfect.

In Serbia, they're starting to get serious with travel restrictions. Basically it says they're going to have a more heavy handed approach to people violating curfew. https://www.novost...ku-cemo-KAZNjAVATI

8,746 confirmed cases just in my county alone as of yesterday! I’m in New York specifically Long Island and we are the number one ranking state with the Coronavirus. What’s scary is as of right now, we only have “essential” stores open, grocery stores, gas stations, and hardware/ emergency supply stores. Yet every day people are out of their houses shopping around because they are bored and need things to do in their house. It’s scary how quickly this has all spread and I can only assume it is going to get much worse before it gets any better.

Hofstra is my alma mater. I'm from Queens. Rockaway Beach specifically. My mom moved out to Oshkosh Suffolk County about 10 years ago. She went to King Kullen (Port Jefferson) the other day and she said she had to wear gloves and a mask in the store. LI is an absolute car culture. There are public buses and the LIRR, but just getting to basic shopping is done on 4 wheels. So it's not like it's spreading on mass transit. No sports and the usual crapola TV can get old after a while. What's left? Booze? Dope? Break the boredom and escape the masses of asses. Go climb Mount Misery or go hacking through the woods of Bethpage Park or the Tackapausha Preserve.

ACo and yes in healthcare. Very fortunate to be in an area of specialty that will continue to be essential no matter what happens. Are you frontline essential still?

The Philippines: Hold my beer.

Does the Philippine government have any other way of enforcing their laws besides encouraging vigilante murder? Because at this point I'm having doubts.
