Since I don't feel like reviving an old thread about this location... here's a new one!

Before the site became a hospital, it was originally used as a cemetery dating back to the late 1800s.

The first area of the hospital was built in the 1930s, which was a mere single-story building. Later, a second story was added, and finally a full four-story extension added in the 1970s.

By the 1990s, the hospital was leased to its final owner.

In 2014, the hospital was deemed as seismically unfit, pushing it into abandonment. The property was ultimately given to the county. Before 2018, the hospital still had power, until copper wire thieves permanently shut it off after being caught scrapping $3600 of copper wire. However, the water still runs at low pressures.

Today, the county pays for 3 security units to patrol and monitor the property, and is slated for demolition between later this year and 2021.

1, 4, 11 and 15 are my faves. Nice set, Natchraz!

It's been a couple years since I've last driven past this spot. I knew it was patrolled, but damn. Can't wait to see what you two shoot of this place next!

Funny, just about all your shots lean at exactly the same angle.

Straighten out a bit!

I probably didn’t check if all of my tripod’s legs were fully extended out since most of my shots were long exposures.

Oh well haha

For being over 100 years old it has a cookie cutter sterile modern feel.
Like it was 100% gutted at some point

Very cool...abandoned hospitals are my favorite explores! In pic 5, was that where the morgue was? It has a morgue or an OR look to it.
Thanks for sharing! 😊

In the 2nd set, image #2, what is that?
Part of an elevator or dumb waiter?

I think it might’ve been a surgery room considering the outlets coming from the ceiling

The metal area also wasn’t large enough to put a body either.

Elevator mechanical room I’m guessing.

Bahaha more places need signs like #3 in the second set. Imagine coming up on a No Trespassing sign that called you out specifically.

Original thread that B&C posted 3 years ago helped me find this location within a minute of research back when I was looking for it.

Literally looked up (insert city name here) abandoned hospital and found it.

Sure, but even including the organizations name in your initial intro was enough to find it. Just an observation thats all. Its a nice location!

Edited out the organization and replaced one of the pictures.

Might as well keep the location a bit more confidential before it gets demolished.

Thanks for pointing it out though!
