Abandoned Jazz Lounge.

This place looks like it was really nice at one point. apparently back in the day some famous jazz artists such as Eddie Russ, Betty Joplin and Brother Jack McDuff played here. now it has fallen into a huge amount of disrepair... sadly. it isn't even that far away from my house. I'd love to have gone to a local jazz bar. (Well an open on lol).

please forgive the kind of assy photos... I try but it's a combination of lighting issues, photo compression (to get it on the site) and a slightly shakey hand (I'm no professional photographer)

I have Tons of photos of different places. everywhere from barns, factories, commercial buildings, houses, junkyards, radio towers etc etc... most of my older images were taken with budget phone cameras so some of my photos are kinda fuzzy.. but they give the general idea. and if anyone is ever interested and lives in south west Michigan. I'm more than willing to give ya the grand tour of my city.

If your uncle Jack were stuck on a roof. And he asked for your help. Would you help your uncle Jack off?

These are neat...nobody knows you when you're down and out; til the friendly neighborhood explorer shows up! 😉
I've explored a couple nightclubs; cool, but not nearly the amount of leftovers as in here. Do you ever use a tripod? I only ask cause I've noticed it does wonders for my shots, combats that damned shaky hand...though really half the time I don't set it up, or end up using it as a weight.
Anyway, keep it up, thanks for sharing, and be safe out there!

My camera is a phone. unfortunately no tripod mount.. but a tripod would be useful in some instances.

Part of me want's to drag a generator into the place get the Pa system running and blast some McDuff at top volume as a sorta tribute.. I wonder how much of the electrical system is still intact...

imagine the look of anyone walking past this decrepit place and hearing that lmao.

I have always had this thing for old bars, so i found this set quite interesting. Seems like i can see still hear the music and see the people drinking and laughing. What i dont get, is the last shot. How strange. A hair salon!?! Was this down a hall in the back somewhere? Kind of strange and cool at the same time. lol.

I have images of another bar I can post too! The hair salon is actually near the front right side near one of the entrances... It's kind of cool. I imagine people going listening to jazz and then getting a hair cut. Before leaving. Or maybe the other way around.. I wonder if it was all a part of the same business.
