Making Art with Urbex Photos.

I'm curious as to the consensus and legality of using the photos we've taken for art relate purposes. I've used some in my art, though I never put any of them in a gallery. It's mostly photo manipulation and sticking drawings in them for me.

I'm not trying to get banned, and I don't just use abandoned buildings. They way I create is that I can make something inhabit this space and the locations were right the piece.

Let's see some!

Sounds like a cool idea. Plenty of people sell their exploring photos, or try to.

These were made with photos from the building that was once the Montreal Typhoid Emergency hospital:

These are used with my friend's permission:

And I can confirm that I am the artist ^^
I post and create from time to time. I know there's better out there and I need to improve but i got used to this format.

Cool. There is someone else on here, that was incorporating animated images with their photos of abandoned places...

I'm going to try to find it.

Here it is.

I don't know the legislation in North America but in France, selling your 'illegal' is kinda tolerated.
People already sold books about their stories and illegal partys in abandonned places.

On YouTube there's two guys who actually run a popular channel where they've explored things like the Eiffel Tower, public buildings and other incredible stuff and they make declared money for that, they actually have their own company. They organise expositions where they show and sell their photos, they also sell their photos online to random people.

I've seen urbexers interviewed on TV to speak about how they've illegally climbed Notre-Dame.

But they are "famous" and have a good reputation so maybe they can do things regular people like us can"t do ?
