1. 2. 319,000 square feet of prime Silicone Valley real estate soon to be over 1,000 housing units, a park and nearly 2000 parking spaces. This property went for nearly 200 million big ones ;) The tenants moved in around 1969, moved out December 2018 (not renewing their lease), relocated to a smaller facility in Santa Clara, and is still thriving. These photos are from several trips in 2019 and this site has since been demolished. Fun facts: Imagine a boss that brings in a film crew to catch the response of the office raffle winner...the prize being an extra $12,000 a year for TWENTY years! Extravagant Christmas parties, record setting profit sharing checks for all employees and for their 5 year anniversary in 1974 there was a huge street fair thrown for employees and their families with the company doling out TVs, BBQ grills and 10 speed bikes. The anniversary parties became tradition. 3.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us? |

-wow-
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |
Demolished. Because I talk too much
Oh man, what a space indeed.
Damn. Was just talking to my friend about this spot yesterday. Unfortunately I was never able to make it here before its demolition and these photos definitely don't help the feeling of this lost opportunity
cleipelt, Fry's is like a live abandonment I heard.
Damn. Very awesome. Great you got to document it. And now it's gone.
RIP Blackhawk |

Really wish I wasn’t on vacation when this spot was hot. Oh well, there’s always other places .
“In my restless dreams, I see that town…” |
Great find. Looks like you had the run of the place.
Yeah I got there too late as well. They already had half of it down.

Problem being security tends to be higher during the demo.

Not always. Depending on the firm you might run into anything from guards to just a poorly set up chain link fence. I've seen both extremes over the years.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

True. Security and that most of it was already down swayed my decision to pass on it.

Don't forget sleeping security guards in their vehicles.

Didnt realize this place was getting demo'd. Im not a full member but I wish I knew this place was empty. I actually visited a friend while it was still in use many years ago. Thanks for the pics!

I made a visit during the day while demolition was going on about 20 feet from me. I got to see the wall across the hallway from me being torn down (a bit scary). Anyways, my contribution of pics in case you're wondering what it looked like mid-demolition.
You can see the gaping hole in the wall on the last pic.
