Most of the buildings at this location are gone, demolished a few years ago. When we went, we didn't actually know where the remaining buildings were, so we hiked around through the snow and brush for around an hour and a half before we got our bearings, in around 10-15 degree temps. It was cold. We only went through a small section of the remaining buildings, and decided to return another night when it wasn't freezing.

This is the old naval artillery one, right? I know the smokestacks got demolished a while back, it's good to see some of it still remains.

Actually, this is a different one I believe. I think the famous Umore one was totally demolished, and this one has been partially.

Hey, I actually live about a mile away from the Umore one. There’s a few buildings visible for about a second if you’re driving down highway 46. I may visit it pretty soon too. (I’m also quite new to this, have any tips?)
