Seasonal Transition in an Abandoned Resort Poolhouse

A quick gallery of seasonal changes inside the iconic poolhouse of an abandoned RV resort along the Niagara River across from Buffalo, NY. In October of 2013, a health inspector observed management of this resort pumping massive amounts of collected human excrement directly into the Niagara River. They were given an warning that a proper septic collection company would have to be used. On a surprise return visit 10 days later, the inspector found that nothing had changed and sewage was again being discharged directly into the river. The entire site was ordered closed by the Niagara Regional Medical Officer of Health and electricity was immediately cut to the property; a move that displaced 15 people who were permanently living on the site in cabins. The company was fined $50,000 and the property owner $10,000, plus a victim fine surcharge of $15,000. To this day, tenants have never returned. Visited by explorers and vandals alike in the years since, the entire property sits overgrown and wasting away.

I like the site, and, the photos. Selective colour is, a bit cringe worthy.

Thanks for that advice; I've heard that more than once now so I'm working on it. I have to figure out how to eliminate massive amounts of blue halos bleeding into my photos (I don't have a great camera). Usually I kill the blue channel because of that... and then another channel just to see... and then another...

I heard a term on here or on Flickr once that made me laugh: not to be a "slider whore".

Great set, like the composure and framing.
Colors look fine.
It's on the cool side because of the auto WB; winter day.
You can probably adjust WB on cam or post editing if shot as RAWs.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Used right it can look pretty cool I think. Granted, I freely admit to being a repeat offender of using selective color for artistic effect.

Excellent set! It looks like a cool place, and the seasonal transition theme isn't one I often see done. You did a great job with these.
