A while back I gained access to a large unused office space which is in an office park. This particular floor of the building has been unused for a few years. Someone mentioned to me that the suburban area near DC has more unused office space than anywhere else in the US. Who knows? I just like exploring.1.

This is pretty cool! There are some buildings down in TN like this
|

This one was recently leased and is undergoing renovation. There is another building nearby that has been completely unoccupied for at least six years. People from nearby buildings walk around it on lunch breaks. I would love to access and explore. The leasing companies have a hard time competing with the other properties. Nonetheless, basic lighting is keep on.

Cool post. Office parks give me headaches >.< I'm still perplexed why a lot of offices are built to look as boring as possible. I hope we can get more creative with our architecture as a society. For instance: the color schemes here, why?!?! It's like they're specifically trying to brain zap the employees. Blue-grey-white. Be bored. Give up. You must obey.
LOL.
Thanks for sharing!

I totally agree. Conformity is key with these staid designs.

I love the fact that this office space has a walk-in shower. When you work 24/7 this is something really useful to have in any office.

I've never in my life seen a shower in an office building 😐

Yeah, unusual for sure. I think it was a vice president of the company.

I am having to rack my brain but having lived in East Asia I'm pretty sure I have. I know there's an underground passage, now gone, in front of my office building that has them.
