Endless Fields In The Sun

Greetings again everyone. It's been far too long for me to have gotten out and about and not to have finally posted a little something. This time I got a chance to head south through a few wonderful rural Georgia towns with my good friend Andyhal. We did a bunch of driving and hit at least five locations on our list only to discover that most of them had been repurposed or just recently demoed. That's just the way it plays out, often you do all the research you can but it still takes a site visit to decide if a location is viable or not. Even though we struck out on most of the spots that seemed to have the most promise we were still able to get into an old non-functional water treatment center and a very stripped out elementary school. The school was mostly scrapped and in a rather rough neighborhood so we opted to approach from the back side by hiking through someone's cotton field, and that was fun. Not a lot of shots from either location so I just combined them into one thread here. Hell, if I really get off my ass this year I may even be able to post a year in review thread before the end of the year. Ha

This thread reminded me of how I need to get out of the metro area and explore some of rural Georgia. I love the city and exploring the big buildings but there's something homely about country bandos.

Your fans are all looking forward to your year in review.

Nice shots, Onceler. That was a fun trip finding weird stuff. Trudging through the cotton was fun. Let's do it again soon.

Well thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun day well spent. Yeah I thought the ladybugs were cool too. I've got a ton of them now coming up around the shed getting ready to go into the garden. I'll be working on the year in review post soon, hopefully even have a little something extra to add
