Hello Explorers, I am new to exploring but the last couple months I've been checking out a couple of spots. I have much more to post as my film is developed (I shoot everything with a 35mm SLR camera) but I wanted to drop these images before the end of the year. I have a friend that explores with me but unfortunately this has been a busy year for both of us to get together and check out new stuff. I'm constantly searching for new places to check out and people to explore with. I am sure that most of you are familiar with these places, but if you have any questions about a place feel free to message me. I like to try and research the history of these places but sometimes that can be hard to come by. -Matt *****edit: I've gotten the images oriented correctly and also added a few more exploring photos... sorry to make everyone break necks looking at this upside-down lol 1.

Welcome to the forums. Good to see another local explorer! Might want to learn to flip those pictures though

Hey Xiketic! Thanks for the welcome! I did flip all of these images files on my laptop but when I uploaded them via the flash gallery tool the orientation was wrong. Any suggestions on who I could message to figure this out? I might just re upload the images one at a time to see it resolves the issue.

Looks like tons of fun. Bummer for upside-down photos though.

People use different image hosting sites to upload full quality images. Personally I upload my images to imgur since its free and then paste it into here using bbcode (there's a copy link button when you upload it to imgur). Also I just noticed: are you off-roading underground?

First off, I'm happy to see some of my DB entries are going to good use. Secondly, whats up with the RIP ******Y R**** graff? Did something happen to the structures up there? I'm really liking the photos of the classic trucks too. Welcome.

They have been demolished a year ago. I made the hike up there to only find the cement foundations.

Thanks for the tip, I ended up flipping each image one at a time on Gimp. Yes I was off-roading underground, that shot is actually of the Reward Mine down south (I believe the location is listed on the public database here) and unfortunately I couldn't get many shots, did get some awesome go pro footage tho! The trip to this mine and exploring mines is actually what got me and my buddy into exploring, we've been doing off-roading and hiking since back in high school and that sort of just led to checking out other historic places and abandoned buildings.

Thanks for the welcome RescueMe1060! Like Blacmoth said that location was demolished awhile ago. The crazy thing is we could still see the satellite images of the buildings as we were standing on the cement foundations. It was really disappointing but still a nice view of the bay. The shack on the nearby ridge still stands but who knows for how long. I have no idea why they would have demolished this site as there doesn't seem to be any plans to put anything up there and it's not really accessible by road to the public. My buddy and I are also into cars, trucks, motorcycles etc, its another one of my hobbies.

You'll like my profile picture then haha! Been down there many times. Some interesting (often hazardous) workings higher up on the mountain!
