Went out of my way this year to visit a couple of very run down tuberculosis hospitals. One back in the spring and the other a couple weeks back. I've known about the first place for a while, but everyone said it was trashed. It was. Still worth the trip though. Even if the building was stripped, it had a certain charm.
Auditorium
Nothings changed at this other sanatorium for many years.
An old wooden wheelchair rots away in the leaves Thanks for looking!

Excellent shots! This looks like a hauntingly beautiful place.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.
Looks like a fun spot. Is definitely love to romp around there. But don't think I'll be doing any east coast explores anytime soon. I'm getting to a point where, trashed spots look AMAZING.

Interesting, I never knew those wooden wheelchairs had springs.
Softly creeping through Empty hallways decades old, glimpsing history.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
This was posted in last september by the news owners of the place on their Facebook page : " As the new owner, restoring the property includes documenting the past. I envision turning parts of the property into a veterans retreat and considering other business and personal uses as well to play a part in the local community" Don't know if this will really happen since this place is pretty much collapsed in some parts, it'll be a couple years job for sure..
