We're close enough to 2020 that it's appropriate to start discussing New Years type shit, I think. So, what's your favorite photograph you took this year? Or, what are a few of your favorites? Did you have a favorite theme? This year was the first that I used digital editing software. I didn't resize these files, so they're pixelated in this post, sorry. I've really gotten to love abstraction and patterns. I have a few favs to share: 1. not urbex, but still my number one:
2. Kinda off-center, but I like how it came out:
3. This one came out very dark (a lot of my pictures do, and I usually like it), but I like that it captured my confusion - the wallpaper was white, but the shower in the bathroom had red tile, and everything looked red because of it. Weird house.
4. This is my third time sharing this picture, so it's my last choice, but I love it! I got it printed recently, and couldn't tell which way was 'up' in the picture - that's a sign of success for abstract photography, if you ask me.

I don't know if I could narrow it down to one single favourite I've taken this year however I did spend the first half of my year in many car graveyards which yielded some amazing finds, of which a couple of the photos I took are personal favourites. One for how sketchy and amazing the sight of numerous Porsches was, and the other which is my current desktop background on my PC.

I like this! Also, using this as further proof that every city with a waterfront has secretly agreed to install a lighted ferris wheel for some damn reason... Here's mine. It's an abandoned church near my hometown:

There's gotta be a well paid salesman working for the big wheel industry. A friend of mine gets paid to help maintain that wheel, the owners are the typical millionaire small business tyrant stereotypes and that wheel is basically a money printing machine.

Love this, might be one of my all-time favorites. So hard to choose a single photo from the year, probably this one from Robsart, SK. PSX_20190325_212259 by EPOCH 6, on Flickr Unbelievable year overall. Countless memories across 8 states and 5 provinces.

1. An decaying glue factory
2. The basement of an abandoned waterpark
3. A long-shuttered chemical waste disposal facility
These are my favorite pics I can post here. I've got a few others I like more, but unfortunately those locations are too unique and vulnerable to post somewhere as public as UER.
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

1) Standing in front of Reactor #4 in the Chernobyl Nuclear Exclusion Zone.
2) Drone shot in front of an abandoned farmhouse and an Honorary Hall to Adolf Hitler. (Just so we're clear: Nazis = bad.)
3) Personal Favorite: A drone shot of my hometown of Madison, WI. Not urbex, I know. DealWithIt.gif

Selfie taken in January at one of my favorite locations.
& this shot for sure one of my favorites of the year. However the year isn't over yet so we all potentially could capture our favorite photo of the year within the rest of December! Perhaps Christmas Eve or Christmas Day ;-)
PS all you drone fools my fave photos likely will be from drone also when ever I actually get one! Perhaps since tvs are now insanely cheap compared to 7 years ago drones will be the same! But regulation perhaps will be stricter though then and will have to wait 5 years! haha

The tiny new Mavic mini with it's 29 minute flight battery is tempting. Much more than my two year old Mavic Air with ~13 minutes.

Best picture I’ve taken this year in my opinion. Kind of a cliché bridge shot compared to the other pictures on here. Shot on a Canon 50D using a 10-18mm lens at 6:40 in the morning, before school started later that day.

2019 is the year I went balls-deep into traditional film and going forward it seems I will stay the course. Did not get into much beyond malls this year, but I am fond of these. All 120 format.

Thanks - I had a lot of fun with that one. I took the photo looking up at a cliff that jutted out over me while focusing on the opposing hillside. And yeah, we all made 2019 very good-looking.
