Incinerateur des carrieres, Montreal

I had the chance to go explore the former incinerator of the city of Montreal. The access was tough though. But with some hints from coten22, I managed to get in.

Here are some pictures I took. The full album is here.

That raccoon must've been quite the surprise. Nice set.

Yes it was !!! Actually, I met him a first time, when I was looking for an access. I climbed a ladder, and once I got up there, I look up, and he was like less than a meter away from my face. He wasn't facing me, but I moved my head (and my headlight), and then he turned his head, exorcist style
I thought to myself: "If he jumps on my face, there is nothing I can do. I'm on a flimsy ladder, pretty high up. I can't lean backward, I can't dodge him, and he's pretty huge.

So I went back down. I waited for a while, but he didn't want to move. So I left at that point (also because this access was very dangerous, and I wanted to find a safer way to get in).

In the end, I didn't find an easier access, and I came back the next day (hopefully, the raccoon wasn't up the ladder anymore), and I decided to go anyway. I found him later in the factory, where I snapped a picture, because my friends didn't believe he was that big

I went there on Monday February 24 in the evening and the entrances were closed. I have already had the chance to explore the quarry incinerator a few times. This is only a matter of time before a new entry is released.

Your photos are great!

Damn !! I was planning on going back soon. Yes, I hope new access will soon be open.

Thanks for the photos
