Literally, too. It was 27 degrees while exploring this location. This was a beautiful old house in the mountains. One can only wonder how it became abandoned. My guess it was an old couple who died and had no one else to leave the house to. The house had nice furniture and original appliances, minus the water heater next to the stove. Enjoy! Sorry about that one photo sideways, I fixed it in photos folder but the site keeps uploading it sideways. 1.

Interesting kitchen...
Everyone has a dark side, mines just a little more illuminated. |

Wuv old gas stoves, and they last a lifetime. Normally I don't like houses but this is pretty cool. Sad to see it rot...
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

Looks like a cozy place in its day. Must be pretty off in the mountains to be right on the side of the road and have no vandalism. That piano is gorgeous.

Was the hole there or did you "find" it

Wow. What a lovely spot!
When there is tranquility, you are in the right place. When there are no footprints, you are on the right path. When there are no tire tracks, you are on the right road. |

It was already there, thankfully.

God, I love that Kitchen.... <3
Softly creeping through Empty hallways decades old, glimpsing history. |

#10 I can see an elderly woman sitting there with a smile on her face playing a song that takes her back in time just like these photos do. Those moments are nice...going back in time and remembering something wonderful from your past. A moment when the world was perfect.

I've driven past this before, I never even gave it a second thought. Does the piano still work? I'm interested in the idea of using that piano in a few field recordings I'd take of the place.

Big fan of your post here. Have never actually explored a house. Probably more of a rural thing to do? Where I am (Detroit) it’s not generally advisable...
Best Regards |

I guess you could say that, since houses that end up abandoned in the suburbs don't last long. But i've explored one in my neighborhood years ago, so sometimes you get lucky.
