Posted by HornetWrath I don't have any reason to prove anything to anyone. I got into Urbex because someone I loved is gone now; essentially urbex is just another way of getting closer to a stranger randomly killing me while affording me some interesting sights to see. This hobby is explicitly dangerous and I like that a lot. I need that right now in my life.

You could join us exploring underground mines if you want another layer of danger to your life. Extreme drops, danger of collapse, bad air, rattle snakes...great fun.

Although it's not urbex, what got me into underground exploring was coming across a book titled, Drills and Mills, Precious Metal Mining and Milling Methods of the Frontier West. It was filled with pictures and information about how mines work, front to back. Lots of details about mine operations from records in the late 1800s and early 1900s. I had always thought mines were neat, but that book pushed me over the edge. Fast forward to now. A couple of friends and I own a mine. I've traveled to England twice for a few weeks of exploring over there. And now I've started my own YouTube channel with a heavy focus on mine exploring. I'm also a regular guest on another gold mining channel. Age is starting to creep up on me a bit, but I'm going down fighting. Abby Normal
