I'm sure a lot of you have already seen this, but here are some of my shots from months ago back when nobody knew about it and before it got trashed and tagged. 1965 BAC-111-401AK http://imgur.com/gallery/LMMSL77

Is this the one in WI or MN? looks very familiar.
Strange places with Max Power and Free4All, also Eric and Myles |

this poor plane is TRASHED now

We were there a few weeks ago.. It's so far gone now.

I heard rumors that it's a popular family picnic spot now, allegedly with dozens of visitors a day. Disappointed I didn't get around to seeing it before it blew up.

When we were there a few weeks ago it was obvious that the owners didn't want visitors... And the arena building had been completely sealed.. Without saying too much.. 4X4 was required to access the site.

Yeah I'm glad I got to it before it gained popularity amongst the wrong crowds...

Nice shot. It was an interesting drive in for us as well. I didn't bother with any of the other buildings just explored the plane quick and got out of there.

Yeah the last time I went there was literally a car meetup there. and about 3 other GROUPS of people hanging out. Even a mother and her kid stopped on the side of the road to play in the plane... unreal Now the planes basically whole side is covered in shit graffiti. looks horrible

Wow...

I just took some photos of this place recently and the plane has been graffitied up to hell. It actually looks cool with the graffiti though, NGL. I heard the property the plane is on is sold or about to be sold. So explore the plane while it's still there

It was hit with a one-two punch of the local car spotters' Facebook group putting it on blast for every Insta-droolie explorer to subsequently milk for likes/subscribers. Nothing stays clean for long around here anymore, even if it's in the sticks like this, and it's utterly maddening.

For anyone curious, I checked out the plane a few weeks ago and this is how the plane looks like in it's current state... 1.
2.

It's still accessible? Color me surprised. I would have thought it would be hauled away or set on fire by now given how much attention it had for a while.

Oh yeah, it's definitely accessible still! I was really surprised to see it there. The plane is still in fairly good condition too minus the graffiti. Even the surrounding barns and stables around the area are left intact too. Honestly, this would be the absolute perfect time to check the plane out. I think because of the graffiti and other crap surrounding the area, hardly anyone bothers to check the place out now. I do want to try some light painting on the plane after lockdown is lifted in here and while the plane is still there. Who knows how much life there is left to the place.

What's the story behind this? I didn't know abandoned planes existed.. Atleast not lone ones like this...

Just an old passenger plain left in a field. It was a nice quiet find for a while before it blew up on Instagram hard, almost as much as that dead shark tank in Australia or wherever. As you can see, the resulting attention has not been kind to it

Oh man, I had almost forgotten about that poor shark. What a shit show that ended up being.
