Fleeting Mill

Sometimes I wonder why they don't still do it like this. I found this place a while back, then I forgot where it was. Last week I found it again. It felt really dreamy being there and yet the mill house didn't burn down that long ago...

Tail race

Penstock gate

Dam

This gate was built into the footings of the Dam. Probably for adjusting the water level in the pond. It must be pretty silted up back there. I can't imagine it holding much water on its own.

The pond

Gate from the other side

Back across

I was surprised to find this other building on the site

Inside, it was all collapsed
