Drive-In and a Couple of Cryptic Octopi

Here is an abandoned drive in movie theater. Remember those growing up? I sure do! Sitting on the roof of my parents van, wrapped in a warm blanket as the stars came out and viewing a motion picture on the big screen was oh so thrilling.

This place is old. Opened around 1955 under a different name than by what it closed on. The now overgrown field could hold up to 700 cars. And apparently it even used to play porno films later into the night. Not sure when it closed, but there were some feeble attempts to restore the theater in the early 2000s which got abandoned.

I really don't know what significance the octopuses serve here, but I'm going to throw them in this thread anyway. Enjoy!

My parents would take my family to a drive through every summer when we went on our yearly camping trip. I remember seeing the Hulk movie and Toy Story 2 as part of a back to back feature, and they even had a playground at the base of the screen for the us kids. I miss that place.

"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there.
