~ And Then Came the Storm ~

It was my last week before father’s funerals and getting back to work. Of course weather was pretty bad all the time, but still… you got to live when you can? So it was time to drive far and check if those that did look from Google Earth forgotten cars really would be… and they were.

Once Forgotten into Woods:

To Grow Old:

Endless Chase:

Nature Takes:

And Then Came the Storm:

Fury of the Storm:

You Shouldn’t Came Here:

Fall in Oblivion:

And today’s off-topic-bonus-shot comes from week ago friday… a day when we did go to get my father’s ashes back to this town, so it also was last time with him. Anyway, weather couldn’t be much better; first snow with autumn colors. At same time I somewhat did feel sad to miss all those photos that I did see on that trip... and of course snowing did end before coming home. But then, suddenly, it did continue for short while. This is first ever photo taken with my new tripod, this was taken from our balcony:

That’s it, thanks for scrolling this far down and have a nice weekend!

Fantastic photos! Love old abandoned car. And what a great abstract last photo. I feel it must encompass a lot of what you've been going through with your father's passing. Thank you.

Beautiful set as always, Wolfheart...it's so interesting to see nature take over these abandoned cars whether slowly and passively, or with the 'Fury of the Storm'. And that bonus shot is just epic!
I hope you have a great weekend (Cheers!), and that your healing continues, so much as it ever will.

Great angles and a strangely appealing abstract composition.
I've wrecked a few cars and have had similar thoughts/misgivings cross my mind as the title... oops.

Lol, on the bonus photo at first I thought that was Dad's ashes being set free

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Thank you sooo much! And what comes to that last shot, I'm so happy. Happy to get that with new tripod (that I did have to order because that old one were stolen) and on that special "once in lifetime" day... like it would be perfect end of my path with father. By the way, it's strange how little 69 years weight after burning.

Thank you so very much. I also always love when I see that power of nature. Humankind can always dream of destroying whole planet, but I don't think it's possible. Of course we can mess up lot and especially destroy many things and finally us but whole nature... I don't think so. We are just one part of nature, and that's it.

And I suppose I am having a great weekend. Tired, but fine. So cheers it is!

Guess what: I wonder that same sometimes too, I mean REALLY. I keep so often returning same places, taking same photos again and again and again, so I always feel that people really must hate me.

But then, should I care?

Must say that what comes to those ashes it would have been much better idea than this how it will be made now; cemetary workers will spread them at time and way that won't be told to us... so I suppose it's recycle bin. Spreading them to snowfall would have bee... much better, but probably illegal I suppose.
