I have been cleaning up various abandoned buildings and well maintained parks under bridges sewer systems drains shafts and just about any other dark damp hole in the ground( yeah I know dark wet hole ha ha) in the twc area for years. I don’t care for the personal notoriety so I wear a mask over my well mask but anyway I’ve been TRASHPANDA- ing for years and I just wanted to shout out to whomever it was that has been pitching in sub level. I saw many parks with trash bags tied or set up in various places and I am excited to say I saw my first trash free park last weekend in the ( censored) district!! Thanks for anyone who is helping out and those of you who have the gear and the means to I ask please help do your part to keep or expeditions trash free!! If anyone is interested in asbestos bags for their trash let me know and I’ll give you the information on where to pick them up.

With great love and passion

Your friendly ( most of the time) neighborhood TRASH PANDA

Meh I've picked enough trash in my days and never for free.
For your own safety and health I recommend getting a new hobby...

It's a good cause for sure, but I feel like you're going to give someone a heart attack in that outfit at some point.

...thank you for supporting of cleaner environments.

I would say I want to see you exploring one day but I think I would prefer not see you in that mask popping out of the dark of a drain.

Trying to clean up "popular" places in MSP is a hard and often thankless job, thank you my friend.

You rule! Maybe I'll try bringing a trash bag with me if I ever find a regular haunt that's full of garbage.

These seems like a noble cause but as I've said many times before...
It's a bad idea to stir up any dust at sites.

Asbestos, chemicals, pathogenic fungus/bacteria, radioactive contamination maybe present.
Many pathogenic organisms live and thrive in moist* debris a slight skin break or even intact skin can provide a point of entry, some can be inhaled.
Bird and rodent droppings are a known source of pathogens.
It's surprising easy how badly metal scraps and glass can lacerate.
The presence of used needles ups the ante a lot; blood borne hepatitis viruses can survive in dried blood for at least a few days.

Let sleeping dogs lie... limit your exposure.

*many can lie dormant and viable in completely dry debris.

Keep up the good work! With the amount of explorers in the twin cities, trash accumulates fast, especially in underground locations. I recently spent two nights exclusively picking up tea lights and filled 2 trash bags to the brim. That particular cave was one of the cleaner ones up until a recent spike in popularity. Since then, I've seen several more tea light photos popping up on instagram, so I'm sure it's full of them again.

I've heard stories of the Paris cataphiles having large scale cleaning parties and I was very impressed how clean the catacombs were considering how many people use that space. It would be cool to bring that mentality here.
