Funny, I was just watching the show, and reside this place was on.

You can see the place where a certain logo in the show was painted right in front of the hospital if you visit!
Sadly the actual hospital and some of the surrounding properties are locked down so tight after the one deluge of visitors (silent motion sensors apparently) I doubt I'll ever get to see inside. A security guard tried to claim it was illegal for us to even walk around and take pictures.

I've been doing some personal research in my spare time on this place and the other historic places on the property recently, where did you find that it closed in 1997? If you still have the source please pm or post it!

Though not my favorite type of explore, (I like old stuff, peeling paint, etc plus the power was on) it was still fun!

The first time I went, it was a lot more like your type of place. The film crews have come in, repainted, and cleaned up. It took away a lot of the place's character, sadly.
But, if you're clever enough, you can still find some other places on the property that may have what you're looking for.
