~ Those Trees ~

Today we will go to get our father's ashes, so this will finally be like last day of this sadness. At least this funeral part. But anyway...

This was one of those trips… you know, when you find yourself asking again and again: Are you stupid? Is there ANY sense in this madness?

I did find this at last December. Somehow I didn’t think that small road for last 500 meters would have changed so much since then… but it was. Hay in the middle was all the way over my Golf’s hood and those young trees… bloody hell, they were taller than our car’s roof! But at positive side, I was happy to know that car is 22 years old so it ain’t so… I mean my life won’t turn upside down if paint gets some scratches.

And that was easy part.

After that parking point I still did have 300 meters walk through maybe 5-10 years ago completely chopped forest. After 5 meters I already did start to believe that it just doesn’t want me to get through. That young birches and spruces jungle were so dense, that it was almost insane. Something that tells about it is my returning to car. I wasn't more than max 10 meters side from my ”going there” way, and still I did scare 1 deer and few birds! Anyway, at there… even at inside there ain’t too much to photograph: I love it. Especially those big trees, that remind me from my childhood.

At the End:

Trees from Childhood Dreams:

Red House in the Garden:

Old Times:

Fading into Darkness:

-----

So that’s all, not too many photos from there. And no surprises even here – I’ll get you again back to my so far last Paradise visit:

That’s it.

#Old Times is my favorite.
What a neglected relic.

Chill and collect your thoughts.
Try to avoid making any major changes or decisions for next 6 months or so unless they are survival dictated...
Time lessens the pain and helps to put it back into proportion with living

I have to say that i look forward to your posts so much! But this is now one of my favorites. The red house looks exactly like a place from my childhood and seeing the picture conjured up memories! Nothing to do with exploring but it was an apple farm back when I lived in the UK. From about 20 years ago! Great work as always! Thank you

Thank you very much - it did afterwards feel even for me like it was worth of some suffering, or should I say: fighting through that jungle.

Thank you very much.

And I suppose I do so. Life goes on, death is obvious part of life and even it feels sad when it hits you, life goes on. World is still beautiful and so on. Slowly memories will fade - I just hope they won't vanish completely (my girlfriend's mother have memory disorder). So life goes on, even with sadness; let's drink to that: cheers!

Wow, now I've find another who's head is probably made wood instead of bone! It takes often lot of time to remember someone's face, but when I walk on marsh or woods it's often "oh, that is that tree I did see 5 years ago!". That might be strange but... who cares.

And thank you very much. I suppose I'm managing quite well already... like memory would be fading already. Not thinking too much, even sadness of course if you let it in you is there. But life goes on. I'm not sure will I open that few weeks ago bought Motörhead whiskey soon, or absinthe bottle that my friend did bring me two weeks ago, but which one it shall be, first shot goes for another tree lover. So cheers it shall be soon!

Wow, this post is really make my saturday evening now! Sounds so extremely strange how something old in Finland can get back into memories with UK... there's magic in that and I really appreciate you sharing it; thank you very, very, very much! But now I have problem. At reply upwards I did wonder opening that whiskey (which is American mede or that absinthe which is Spanish) but then I did notice that hey, I have also Highland Park's Svein left, which obviously goes closer to you, so I must take shot of that too today.

I like how you edited these pictures to seem like they are in an old photo album. Gives them more character. Great shots all around.

Thanks. I've been really worried if I've get even too deep with that old effect already, but after all... I photograph and edit things like I love to, so probably there ain't no need to worry about that. If people don't like, it doesn't matter but if they do it of course feels better.

And magic word is Alien Skin Exposure 6, which emulates old films etc and it's easy to mix them by layers with ancient Photoshop 7 that I'm using.
