Went to go see these guys when they were still a legit park back when I was in Middle School (early 2000s). I've been itching to get out and photograph their decaying state. Nice post!

Man I wish that place wasn't so far from me, I'd love to go see those heads for myself.

Not asking for a location ID but could you post at least some back story on this? It's very interesting.

I made the post public as the location is widely known... https://www.atlaso...es/president-heads The statues were sculpted by Houston artist David Adickes, who was inspired after driving past Mount Rushmore on a trip back from Canada. They were open to the public at Presidents Park alongside the Presidential Pet Museum, and received thousands of visitors until 2010 when a company bought the plot of land. The huge presidential heads had to move. Instead of allowing the busts to be demolished, Howard Hankins, who helped construct the park, adopted all 43 heads and lugged them back to his private family farm for safekeeping until someone can think of what to do with them. However, this guy is doing sanctioned tours pretty much every weekend as there is a pending deal to send the statutes to a new museum in Maine. The deal is supposed to close ASAP so that they can be transferred before the Maine winter weather begins. So time is of the essence before they are moved, repaired, and put back on display. Day tours are $20 and are for everybody so it's a bit chaotic. Night/Photography/Light Painting tours are smaller groups of photographers and is $30, but unfortunately I wasn't aware of them until I made other plans for my trip and couldn't do one https://www.eventb...-photo-18579174168

These are cool, thanks for sharing! I read about this park recently (might've been the same article you provided).
