Pretty proud of this one despite the blacks being a bit blocked up. Curious to hear what others think... 1.

lots of digital noise as well. An idea would be to allow the raw file for download then have others process it and see which one you like
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah |

I really like the composition and light but the processing just doesn't look quite right. I like dundertits' idea of letting other people try and see how it looks.

Agreed. Framing is great

I think it's pretty cool. Definitely leads in. I'm guessing most of the noise is just the UER upload instead of hosting it on Flickr/elsewhere.

I'd guess the noise is from using an APS-C camera on a high ISO. My photos have a huge noise problem for that reason (I leave it on auto because not everyone who goes with me is a photographer who wants to stand still for 5 minutes in every location).

Where is this I would really love to check it out?

We don't talk locations here. Leads to vandalism and arson.

the framing is really good, so are the colors in the highlights. Maybe try using a tripod and shooting at as low of an ISO as you can, that will get rid of most the noise. More complicated way is if you have access to photoshop try doing an HDR photo or take a darker image where the shadows would be nice and smooth then put the darker image in a layer under the brighter photo and just paint in the shadows for a merged image. Even most really good cameras that cost a couple thousand will still have digital noise.
no god! please no! nooooooooooooo |
