Anyone else like these kind of news stories?

I see quite frequently on my news app's stories like this one. http://www.msn.com...AAEHvL7?ocid=ientp

It's a story about interesting abandoned spaces that could be converted to cool homes - like old theaters, etc.

Just thought I would ask and if you have found great news stories similar to this one, please post a link. I'd love to look thru it.

Have a great day y'all - or get thru it - whichever

I like the idea of saving old buildings and giving them new life, rather than seeing them be demolished, though it would be better to see them used for public good more than someone's private home. For instance, I know an abandoned liquor factory that was converted into a community center and art gallery.

On the other hand, I despise clickbait-style articles like the one you linked, where the whole purpose is to get you to click multiple times and the main purpose is generating ad revenue.

Pretty much so many times.
Theaters need specific dimensions for optimum acoustics.
Elevators and handicap access mods are even more costly after the fact.
Unknowns with the structure can unexpectedly drive up cost along the multiple issues of re-engineering a structure for a use it never eas intended for.
Conforming it to current building codes.
Getting to all the buried electric and plumbing.
Can make financing more difficult.

Meh, buyer beware...

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
