The only thing they forgot to add is their Social Security Number. Oh, wait...

These are the worst!

If one ends up in my shot I deliberately crop it so it’s not fully visible. Cutting out enough letters that they can’t get anything out of their attempt at renegade “marketing”

So did we ever definitely find out if the "Rob" is the actual "Rob" of RNKallday fame?

Yeah, I'd like some closure on this- so if he's guilty, he can be ostracized as he deserves, or have his name cleared if he is innocent. Either way, leaving things in limbo isn't a great move.

Read everything up to the end of page 2 and you should have your answer. Theres more than enough proof in this thread.

It is.
I’m guessing RNK is short for Robb and his wife, I think her name is Kelly.

This video caught my eye when I saw it. It’s only a day or two old, so this Im assuming these events are pretty recent (Covid-19 is mentioned a lot by the arresting officers). I don’t know anything about RNK, the USS Ling, or anything related except for what has been said in this thread and possibly a couple other groups of people. Either way, this Robb guy and his wife were recently caught exploring an abandoned prison in FL and Robb had an active warrant for the USS Ling incident and was arrested. I don’t have time to delve deeper into this right now but figured I’d drop off the YouTube video for anyone interested. The arrest is approximately 2/3 toward the end of the video.

I don't understand their confusion, does Florida hold and extradite on misdemeanors or has this couple never heard about felony warrants and what they do?

Im not a fan of RNK either or those types of youtube channels. I don’t understand why people wanna broadcast these activities to such a wide audience. This is a great example of why it’s better to keep shit to yourself in this hobby.

However, the lynch mob mentality on this site is really quite sad. It reminds me of the rehabilitation scene from the movie “Idiocracy”.

I mean yea, all the early indicators sure made it sound like they were undoubtedly guilty. However, we know that news articles can skew our perspective. Media outlets just report what they hear. That doesn’t necessarily mean that they have the whole story themselves. Often times what we hear in the news is a bunch of bullshit. Just because there’s a headline doesn’t mean a person is guilty.

Admittedly, when I first saw this thread I initially leaned towards the side that they were guilty. But felt it prudent not to publicly scream for vengeance before the story is even fully developed. And after watching a few of his videos, he just didn’t seem like that type of guy. He was always opinionated AGAINST vandalism and it didn’t make sense that he would engage in that very thing, on this extreme level. I’m not very good at reserving judgement either and I usually jump on an opinion right away as well. But my gut just said, I don’t think this guy did it.

And it sounds like that is the case after all. The staff (or whatever) have since discovered that the flooding came from damage that resulted from a lack of maintenance. They have stated that these explorers are only guilty of trespassing.

It is really fortunate that the officials here have been honest and forthcoming in their findings. They could have easily been expected to just say, “Ya know what, fuck these guys for boarding our ship. Let the charges stick anyway.”

Things can very easily be quite the opposite of what we were absolutely convinced they were. Despite this guy’s overall lack of discretion in exploring, I can’t imagine how he must’ve felt, knowing that he absolutely did not do it, yet the rest of the world had already proved that he did.

If someone tags or knocks some stuff over in a spot and genuinely feels bad, and makes a point of discouraging other noobs from this behavior in the future, that is one thing.

But this..... Jesus Christ I hope those people never “explore” again.

Well, yes.

Instead, we banned blackhawk because of some little whiney ass complainers that coordinated the timing of their complaints for maximum effect.

Come off it, Blackhawk was a condescending dick who made a point of trying to scare off rookies and hijack threads. The multiple complaints was just another example of how Blackhawk loved to complain about how everywhere he went smelled like shit but he'd never check the bottom of his shoes.

I haven't noticed any change in the amount of activity, if I'm honest. Plus if anything, it's a much more friendly place to be now.

There's definitely a lot less that needs to be skipped over or abandoned, in any case. The amount of worthwhile content hasn't really changed, as far as I can see.

some people cant tolerate any discussions or opinions different than their own so UER has become a photo blog and safe space now

just post your pretty pics and stfu

(then bemoan all the coveted secret places you posted getting trashed, then have an argument with whoever points that out, then call them names like some little grade school girls and we come full circle LOL)

this is just way too funny

may as well use this thread for that since the original complaint has apparently been debunked

LOL

Original complaint hasn't been debunked though. The guy from RNK was arrested not too long ago for it. Whether or not he'll ultimately be found responsible is up in the air.

Skip to about 20:00 in the video if you're interested, the current organization that owns the Ling acknowledges it was indeed not RNK who caused the issue.

Thank you for this. I have been searching for months for updates and couldnt find anything. Dude really should have put it at the beginning of the video. More people would probably have seen it.
