Okay.....for those of you that might be wondering about the Twin Arrows Trading Post, just a little bit east of Flagstaff, Az.....it's still intact. Here are sever shots I got there, on my way to NorCal from Joplin, Mo. The fate of this place is still up in the air, because the local tribe that owns the land doesn't know what to do with/about it. This was one of the many Native American trading posts along historic Route 66, in the desert southwest. Let's hope it's not plowed to the ground anytime soon. These were shot with my Nikon D5300, and a Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 ultra-wide...edited and processed in Lightroom.

I was here in March. Don’t worry—the Navajo have too many bigger problems—especially abandoned mines—that need to be fixed up before this ever will.

I went to college in Flagstaff in the late '70s. (yes, I'm THAT old) The trading post was still active back then and was a point of interest for travelers. In my early years of college we still had to travel through some of the little towns like Peach Springs because I-40 wasn't finished. I-40 put an end to many of the small town businesses along Rt-66.
