The Domes of Casa Grande

Ok...time for my first post on here. I did a search, and saw nothing listed of this place...so here's something new for y'all.

The Domes of Casa Grande were being built as a computer/chip manufacturing facility back in the late 1970s/early 1980s, but the project was abandoned. I'm not sure exactly when the project was stopped, but the domes have been standing there ever since. Some people have reported the location to be haunted, others have said satanic rituals are held there. Regardless, the domes are not structurally sound, and seems to be a bit of a hazard. I stopped there late last year, not long after finding out about it....of course I had to get photos. I didn't venture very far onto the property, but that will come soon. Photos were shot with a Nikon D5300 and a standard kit lens. The domes are located approximately 1 mile south of Interstate 8 on Thornton Rd. They're on the left hand side...you can't miss them.1.

I don't think the dates are right, but these are not water tanks. They were indeed built in 1982 for a computer hardware business that never materialized. They were ordered demolished in 2017, I have no clue if that happened or not. Zak Bagans and his merry band of ghost hunting fuckwits did a Ghost Adventures episode here...

These shots are from December 2018...as of the beginning of this month, they're still standing. The project was started sometime between 79 and 81, according to the info I found.

The ones in the back have already collapsed. The owner was ordered to tear them down by county officials, but that was several years ago....

Dude.... Calm down. No need to apologize, there is nothing wrong with posting things that are already there. We like to see updates on locations. Not calling you out on anything, not jumping on your back. I even complimented your efforts in another post. Don't be so quick to be on the defense....

Too funny there, but quite true. We have explored a lot of "lost" mines, but the state mine folks have already fenced them and put up warning signs. Nearly impossible to find somewhere that hasn't been visited. We sure try though!

Good point. I know but it seems like the new fad is to find super easy stuff to drive-by and then pretend youre the first to discover it like Magellan rounding the cape.

I used to go to great lengths to test my self, and my stealth, walking far, keeping low, looking for holes in the fences Id like to see some pics of that AND the bee spitting bears every now and then!

When I did the the Atlas F sites had to find them, then scout them and out of 5 made it into 2 of them.

That's what its all about I know just about every place I added to the DB was already visited, lived in, partially destroyed by others before I got to it but I had a couple of firsts. Be careful with those uncharted mines your explorations look super high-risk to me.
