Coming to Arkansas this weekend, have some meetings in Searcy Friday then was thinking of heading back to Hot Springs for the weekend. IF anyone would care to share any spots to not miss, love to hear either here or direct!

So my trip thru Arkansas pretty much got blown away, literally, Got in late on Friday and friday night and most of day Saturday was torrential storms and lightening. Managed to snag a few things as I was headed out Sunday along the way but didnt have to much time to stop along the way as had to get back to work.

Cupola At the Arlington Hotel. Kinda cool place but don't look closely, once past the wow cool old hotel you will notice how bad it needs renovation!

Even 30 years ago eastern Arkansas was not traveler friendly. Had the lamest state greeting signs I ever saw.

Southern storms are no joke and can be very violent.
The warm temperatures can create huge temperature graduates.
Micro bursts/intense straight line wind, hail and twisters are common.

Surviving intact and making it back is the most important aspect of a sploring mission.
Consider yourself successful

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Thanks all! I gotta remember to size the pics better, it's been a while. I have been going thru all my flash cards and old files trying to gather them all to one place so I can do some postings but limited time. Have a few interesting places from the last few years, just never got around to doing to much with them.

Dee, I agree on Big Boy .... don't know if he just salvaged it or got it someplace but if I came across one it would be decorating my yard! lol

That shot of Bob's Big Boy is such a weird one. So many questions like:

How did Big Boy get there?
Why is Big Boy sitting on top of a pergola?
Why is there a pergola under cover?
Who uses tin ceiling outside under a carport?

Don't get me wrong, it's a great photo, but it's like "how many oddities can we cram into a single small space?".
