Hello all, I've been semi-active on this site for a little while and have been utilizing the DB map for places to explore in the north-east US, but have also been getting into looking at the Forums/reading up on the rules, FAQ, other rookie forum threads... I went and found a place not on the DB map that I have pictures of (can't post under the gallery for location that isn't there). Where would I post these pictures? Rookie Forum, UE photography, etc...?

You most likely cant see the building on the DB if it's restricted to full members. You can post those pictures in the photography board or the photo critic board! Just make sure not to give the exact location of the building/access points.

I second what Gothic says. Here's some elaboration on how I use the separate forums:
Regional forum - post your location/thematic specific explores here. (Informational, research based)
UE Photography - post your best and most exciting explores here. (Flashy, fun, attention and discussion based)
The UE database is something you'd dive into as a full member.
It's a maze of insanity in there that you only have open access to once you get that full membership. Then you can see if your location has been listed or not, and mull over whether or not you'd like to share your location specifics with the world.
How to get that full membership?
Start posting in your regional forum! I'm excited to see what you've been exploring
