Got stung by a dumb ass honey bee in the webbing between my thumb and index finger.
Took about 20 seconds to get the stinger out so it got a fair dose of venom in.
Hit with DMSO within the first minutes than DMSO with pregnanolone (approx 5 mg total) about 3 minutes later and the same again 10 minutes latter.
Knock it straight down.

8 hours latter (pic) little remains. A little swelling but can press down on it hard with little discomfort.
Never tried this combo before but it worked very well. You need to get it on fast ie first minute in order to limit tissue damage.

Oh yeah, the best part... that bee was so DRT.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Building on what Blackhawk said, pack light, most of what you would ever need is on you or in your brain. I usually haul enough water for 24hrs, one of those small med kits from the camping section at Wal-Mart, and a small ration of high protein snacks.

Additionally depending on the location and circumstances it never hurts to pack light respirators and a small flashlight. Allergy medication for bees can be beneficial too if you know that it could become a life or death situation if you're stung.

Plot different scenarios out in your head before heading out and customize your load in pertains to that specific day or site. Everyone's First Aid Kit is going to be a little different but always pack light and include only the basics for what you might need. Don't weigh yourself down with a Hospitals worth of items... You may need to get out quick!

A small tin of Altoids or other sugary candies never hurts either.
