https://www.facebo...52271426237/?t=128 Not sure if this will work or not? Saw a video on face book of a booby trapped stairwell in an abandonment. It looked very deadly, I just wanted to give a heads up to all my people out here in UER land..

Ive encountered more than one. The worst was a large piece of plate glass propped up over an access hole guillotine style. Various holes chopped in floors with rugs or mats pulled over them. And a trip wired door at the Super Collider that did not connect to anything at least at the time we found it.
Sometimes theyre designed just to make a noise and not crush you or cut you in half.

Wow. Great vid cr400 You should post that in the UE Tutorials, Lessons, and Useful Info forum. Start a new thread if one doesn't already exist for booby traps.

I feel like I've seen a thread about these kinds of things on here... can't find it tho

The "Common Threads" post in the Rookie section has a few booby trap threads, but they may be archived or so old they're not worth posting in.
One day I got a good camera. https://www.flickr...hotos/fleetsurbex/ |

One was a booby trapped window that used a cinder block as a counterweight. Can't recall where it was... it's buried.

I recently saw an album on Imgur of traps often used against firemen, would that be applicable?

I remember seeing the window trap thread, I want to say it was in the Michigan region, someone labeled it as a "near miss" "close call"

That's pretty fucked up. I've only seen (obviously) broken glass to warn homeless people that someone's coming.

That’s the worst I’ve seen. Usually only spot the somewhat expected broken glass or objects that fall when a door moves. Rarely I’ve seen boards with nails straight up and intricate networks of wires on stairs - the ones I’ve seen aren’t attached to anything but just there to cause trip and falls.

I've come across a manhole with it's cover removed in tall grass at Pennhurst. A steel stair in a silo access with the last two stories removed. That one almost got me... trust nothing.

Can get real sketchy at night if pre-dawning a site... Occasionally happens on active sidewalks and streets too. Always watch where you are walking... and who's around you. A smartphone is best kept stowed when walking.
