Dairylict Farm in Socal

UECAL and I scoped out a pretty sweet abandoned dairy farm in Socal. The operation, apparently along with many other dairy farms in the region, closed shop around the early 2000's, due largely to increased environmental regulations, and now lies derelict and easily-accessible to explorers and taggers alike. The compound is at least 100 acres and has a smattering of buildings, both residential and dairy-related, including a pretty large milking parlor and what look like holding pens for calves. The place has been pretty heavily tagged, and while I know a lot of you aren't fans of graffiti, some of it is pretty neat-looking imo.

Tons of broken glass, so if going, bring good thick-soled shoes and watch your step. Overall a sweet site and well-worth the trip.

1.

The front of the compound had a number of small residential buildings, the largest with a pool in the back. There was also what looked like an old basketball court.

The milking parlor.

Some of the pneumatic milking equipment was still there and mostly-intact.

Looks like holding pens for cattle but I'm not sure. Definitely too small for adults, so must be for calves?

I fucking hate graffiti, but can certainly respect it when it's good. I just wish they would stick to highway overpasses. 5,6, and 12 are sick.

I'm not sure about the stalls maybe calves for veal?

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

lol @ "dairylict". It's punny!

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

Woah! Some of that graffiti is on point! I hate random tags, but I kinda dig it when there are actual pieces. Super cool find, and much larger than I was expecting when I clicked the link.
