That's quite weird that they would leave a hose there like that though. Interesting Edit: spelling - forgot my there's and their's

(There/Their/They're) English is hard lol... back to topic, it's strange to see the hose there, sometimes in small towns that i passed thru i seen the fire DP will conduct fire hydrant tests and put the hoses on them to regulate water flow. I don't think that's the case in these pics.

Construction company wanted a retention pond drained. So a "temp" and I Drove up in my work truck with 400 feet of 4 inch lay-flat hose and a water pump...

No, not all. Takes days to drain that pond. Water just seeps into the sandy ground far away. Usually, discharge goes thru a silt bag and into a storm drain but sometimes just into the woods, no bag...

Funny you should mention that! The temp that was with me wanted put the end of hose in the pool. Had to say, no...
