Abandoned special needs school

This School was built in 1922 and severed the area until closing (along with many other schools) in 2010. In the last years of its life, it was used as a school for children with learning and behavioral disabilities. I have heard that there was a riot here at one point, but I could not find any information. The school is almost completely boarded up making it hard to take pictures.

Haha! Me too, I stopped on #6 for a minute. I couldn't put together a coherent phrase that seemed to fit it.

I couldn't tell if the art work was vandalism or stuff the school put in. most of it was really odd stuff as well. especially the eye one. i love how it says "students too" like it was an after thought.

It's like the school was tagged, before it was shutdown. That's weird right? I mean I know it's a special needs school and all, but who does that?

Any pictures are better than none. Looks like it would have been a tough shoot no matter what. Above all, it looks like you had fun with you explore. That is all that counts!
