This little place takes the award for having the most drop dead gorgeous backdrop to any explore I've done so far. Scotland has a habit of doing that to you, just when you think the country can't get any more beautiful it punches you right in the face with an even more stunning view. These houses stood next to each other - one large, one tiny, have been abandoned for many years. They are both typical of old Scottish farmhouses in architecture and style, with the smaller wood panelled tin roofed building being one of many such houses that used to dot the Scottish countryside. There isn't a whole amount left inside them but their isolation has luckily kept them free from vandals with only the occasional hiker heading past plus the local farmers. 1
