We didn't have an opportunity to thoroughly explore Riverview - we arrived about an hour before sunset, and we had our infant son with us - but I snapped a few photos of the West Lawn building that I'm proud of.

#1 is my personal favorite, but I'd love to get some feedback. Note: these were taken with a Canon 77D, and a 17-35mm f/2.8 lens.

I really like number one too. The leading lines of the stairs up to the building are really good. The big redeeming factor I'd say for number two is the fact that it doesn't have the lamppost. The lamp doesn't help with the lines very much.

i like the pics but they seem to be a little bit washed out and the lamp (buzz buzz buzzzzzz) stands out a bit rather than that they are grate!!!

If you could have got some cam height on #2 & 3 to square it off it been better. Standing on the car/truck sometimes does the trick. That said I like all the shots
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

I actually tried to Photoshop the lamp post out, since it's a bit distracting from the rest of the composition, but couldn't get it to look natural enough.

Good tip! Wouldn't have worked in this instance, as we parked quite a distance away, but definitely something to keep in mind for the future - that thought never even occurred to me.

Fences, trees, whatever is handy... once you realize the tripod isn't god a lot more possibilities appear.

Yeah, I rarely use a tripod anyway, unless I'm bracketing.
