Hospital in the Foggy Mountians

This hospital was extremely cool to explore! It closed in 1999 and has been left to rot since. Tons of medical records were left in this place, with X-Rays and MRI films to see! Was halfway expecting to run into a wolf or a mountain lion making a home in one of the rooms, thank god we didn't.

Some shots were taken in 2016 when I first went to check out the place, but most of the others were taken this weekend.

1. (2016)Exterior Shot

2. (2018) Exterior from the 3rd floor

3. (2018) Another Exterior shot, with fog.

4. (2016) This hallway looks completely different in 2018, wish i would have gotten a shot, the light has been knocked down and the chairs are missing

5. (2018) 2nd-floor hallway, with nursery at the end.

6. (2018) A nurses Stockroom, where medical supplies would have once been located.

7. (2018) Different Stockroom, with sinks built into the counters.

8. (2018) Exterior, showing the overgrown-ness of the hospital.

9. (2018) A reception desk.

10. (2018) A room filled with moss, thought this was really cool.

11. (2018) Hallway exiting the Operating Rooms.

12. (2018) 3rd-floor hallway, with my hot-shoe flash, positioned just right so it looks like the hall lights were on.

13. (2018) Exterior Boiler room.

14. (2018) View from the 3rd floor.

15. (2016) What looks like an MRI Film to me, surprisingly found this outside on the ground, when I went this weekend, all of the films were ruined and you couldn't see anything on them, was extremely disappointed.

16. (2018) File Keeping room, most of it was trashed but some medical records were still on the shelves.

17. (2018) Inspirational grafitti.

18. (2018) A wall where tools would have been kept, really cool silhouette of the tools on the wall.

19. (2018) paper towel machine with paper towels still in the machine!

20. (2018) More boiler room.

Thank you all for checking out my shots, i can't wait to go back to this location and shoot some video!

Awesome set! I was just here about a month ago...this is a creepy place. Did you encounter the bats on the 3rd floor (same hallway leaving the OR's)? I rather wish I'd explored the basement ant 1st floor more, I went back a couple weeks later and heard a massive water leak coming from inside, and decided to bail...
I can't find alot of real history about the place, but supposedly room 426 is supposed to be haunted (though aside from the bats, I was haunted by nothing). The nursery/maternity/OR area was cool; wish I'd have checked out the morgue tho. I'm not 100% sure, but I think those photo plates you found outside were the leavings of ghost hunters...there's been a few up there, but they could easily be from the various files that are left.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, great pics! I think if you were there last weekend and didn't run into any water issues, maybe it'd be worth a return trip...

Ya know what, room 426 was making the most noise with the wind out of all of the rooms with broken windows. My co-pilot for the explore (my girlfriend)didn't want to go into the morgue, so I respected her choice to not go (wish I would have gone!) did not run into bats, although I was expecting to.

Oh yeah! Coming out of the OR area, it's pitch black (aside from a bit of daylight up ahead) and I was messing with my camera when I noticed a dark shadow flying near me...my first thought was bird. Turned on my flashlight, and see these little bastards flying around. While it had me freaked out for a minute, I couldn't resist getting some action shots. Fortunately (or unfortunately), I have had a strange bat encounter and knew that as long as I didn't piss them off too much, or that they weren't rabid, I'd most likely be okay.

1. This was my first attempt at a decent shot...

2. This was my favorite.

Great pics. Did you know it was a hospital going in? I would not have guessed that just happening by.

Well after all of these bat pictures, I really don't know how we didn't run into them! I was using an extremely bright hot-shoe flash and we had two flashlights! Do bats migrate out of colder climate? it was about 34 degrees when we went.

Thank you! I knew it was a hospital before going in, I'd found it while doing online and google map research...

I'd guess, without any excessive knowledge on bats, that they were probably roosting...I don't think they tend to be active in the cold. When I was there it was foggy/partly cloudy but probably 75-80 degrees.
