Ooh, is this the start of a new tradition I see?

Indiana Jones wasn't an archaeologist, he was an urban explorer. Archaeologists do a lot less running and a lot more paperwork.

I like were this is going, but on a more positive note, Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows featuring Mole and Rat.

“There is nothing — absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

But really though, if you "always come out without problems with law enforcement." I think you may need to rethink your strategies...

Where is everybody at? Looking to link up with some explorers, preferably somebody to shoot (pics) with. I know a couple places in the city itself that aren't posted here three times a year. Maybe we can meet at a Waffle House or something, to establish trust. I've been dying for some brotherhood. Anybody?

So you want trust and botherhood?
You demand it, fast... even then FMs with good intentions try to help you...

Posted by Rinzler
Do you want people who don’t live in NO to answer? People will answer, give it time. I wouldn’t make a habit of complaining because people don’t answer your thread right away. Not everyone checks this site every day.

Good, sound advice with no malice from a senior FM in good standing.
What do you do? A week later you're trying to bite his head off for trying to help;

Posted by JokerSpecter

So why did you even speak up to begin with? Way to half-ass that use of knowledge.

You do know what Rizler's day job is, don't you?

Posted by JokerSpecter
I've talked before about New Orleans exploring but apparently it seems i'm the only one here. So i'm pretty much stuck in basic membership because there's nobody to meet, here. It's pretty frustrating because I have locations I'd like to submit but you have to be a Full Member to submit them. You can't become a Full Member unless you've met somebody. So what sense does it make to waste my time dumping content for a group of individuals that seem to have zero presence in New Orleans?

Ahhh, 2X. You're a good example of the kind of person I talk about when expressing my experiences here. You're nowhere to be found until you've got something smart to say. Careful. That shiny star of your's truly does show it's mileage. Maybe use your fancy admin powers to fix it while you're at it. Or ban me for poking back at you. The latter wouldn't surprise me, here.

One day and 4th thread reply you're bitching about not having your FM and how we are wasting your time.
Not wasting any time, are you?

Posted by Pear

This isn't true at all, I haven't met up with anyone and got FM.

Pear tries to help but what do you reply to him?

Posted by JokerSpecter
You've made a good point but it still shows that negativity garners faster responses here. I've noticed a lot of people posting here seem to be from out-of-town, and it seems interesting enough to look at but not enough to simply say "maybe i'll hit you up when i go back". That's too complicated, but responding to negativity is much easier. You see what i'm trying to say?

And it's not a dew-rag, it's a limited edition bandanna, you uncultured swine. What do you wear on missions, a strap-on dildo?

You blame the results of your blunders on everyone but yourself.
Hell in one post you even blamed your sister for not having pictures to post here.

Posted by JokerSpecter
I don't mean to be an asshole, i'm just having a hard time expressing myself.

By the second day your posting this^
You don't mean to be an asshole?
You seem to be having no trouble expressing yourself...

I liked your comment, ass crack.

Now your degrade to vulgar rants...

Posted by JokerSpecter

That's because the older members are twats. Don't listen to them. Joker threads turn out this way because the older members are overly opinionated and act like it's a joke to take precautions. I also type more than their attention spans usually allow for. And all it takes is to write a post like this and they get all defensive.

I take the urbex itself seriously, and always come out without problems with law enforcement. The problem is that, places in New Orleans come with homeless and not all of them are friendly. Some of them want you for your possessions and will try to make a quick dollar off of you. SO you must be prepared for all kinds of shit when you urbex here.

But if I were you, I would listen to the guys who live in Quebec. They know how to urbex here better than I do. I'm just a guy who grew up here and bitches too much. Enjoy the boat show. I'll be on my leather and metal throne watching from the balcony looking like this

You go on to echo the traditional troll rant of the ages and call the senior members "twats".
Even advise another Basic Member up for FM not to listen to the people who help decide if they should get their FM.
You type more bs than our patience allows for be more accurate as opposed to limited by our attention span.

The bottom line: Don't be an idiot.

This is pretty rich. Some creepy little wussie with a designer do-rag calling other members twats!

He doesn't realize all he has to do to get his FM is complain to Av about all the older twats bullying him.

Woah that's all you have to do? I'm doing that right now then. Haha I'm gonna be a full member in no time!

Oh also JokerSpecter: the older members should be respected because they've been exploring for a while and surprisingly they actually know a thing or two.

I was gonna be in NO in a few weeks, but I don't have the free time to. But man, it surprises me someone almost twice my age doesn't have the maturity and patience as I do. Ive waited a while for FM, and honestly, I still don't think Ive personally put enough effort into it to deserve it right now. But Im not complaining!

Congratulations on your FM.
I never even thought about as I was enjoying the site a lot even as a bm. It's a perk not a given.

Didn't he mention in a earlier post "Defending" himself that he had kids? I swore I could've seen that he was JS said that he was around 30 but I can't remember that as much as him mentioning kids.

Yes. And he's only 26, though he says he's been a father for the last ten years.

The OP?
The manure is here past neck high now...
Think he's chronologically between 14-17, a juvenile.
One of the reasons he thinks he's impervious to cops and advice.

It doesn't matter how courteous I am. Everything you're all saying is moot because this thread is really just proof that UER responds to negativity way faster than positivity. I wrote a thread about roof safety and I didn't see any one who is this thread, in that thread.

Sure, all these people claim to be waiting years for FM while others claim they got their's in the first year. I had a little bit of steam built up and hoped that maybe being one of the few registered member in New Orleans, I can use what I know to add my stuff to the DB.

That's the only damn reason i'm hell bent on getting in there is TO ADD to it. So that I could contribute to this website.

I don't just take pictures in abandoned buildings for cool points. To add what I've found is, in my eyes, the ultimate gratification for what I do.

My girlfriend thinks it's stupid and irresponsible. My dad calls me retarded for it. You can't just go around talking about it. I'm trying to spread my work for people like UER to enjoy.

Calling us twats and telling other basic members to ignore veteran FM's advice isn't being courteous.
Even after Rinzler advised you to be patient all you did was start post bombing your own thread.
I've posted threads and have gotten few even no replies, SO WHAT?

So now you got some mortal FM enemies.
congratulations.

Reason is your relentless bs and attacks.
You injected the negativity and even now rather than shut up or apologize, you attack.
perfect.

This is going really well... please continue.

As Apollo Mey put it, I've also been patiently waiting for a couple of years to get FM. Even though I've read through many, many old threads and posted some things myself, I still feel that I haven't put in enough work for the other FM users to trust me.

Using the UER as a BM is still a great experience as I can talk with other people passionate about urban exploring. You just have to work with what you have.
