After living in Renfrew County for a few years, I'm finally moving out of the province. Although I was busy here, I still managed to explore a fair few abandonments in the area. I would say Renfrew County is by large an untapped gold mine, as there are countless abandonments all over, particularly in the upper Ottawa Valley where I lived, and also into the Quebec side of the valley. I'm attaching a dump of photos - if you want to know where any of them were taken, let me know and I'll do my best to dial you onto it. Cheers1.

I never got to go back there. The owner down the road caught me and freaked out. She was oddly terrified. I gave her my card, and told her if she felt better I would wait for the police. She ended up letting me leave.

It's on the Opeongo Road, not too far from Killaloe.

Thanks! I used to be fairly active on another site, but over time my photography took another direction, and eventually turned into videography. However, I do still shoot abandonments when I see them, and I'm sort of dumping in Ontario now that I'm leaving for Nova Scotia. Hopefully I find some good stuff out there too. 1.

Oh... yep, checked that one out on a Foymount trip.

Yeah that entire area is rife with abandonments due to the nature of the area. I call it the forgotten zone, because it's a big dead area with an extremely low population. Gorgeous too.

The last 2 in the 2nd post scream cold, dark, long, lonely winter.... Love it.

Man, all the photos you posted in this thread are fabulous. There's so much I can learn from your photography; I hope you'll still frequent this forum even when you're out of province. I particularly like your very high-contrast B&W shots.

Nice shots one and all. I head to the east coast every year so drop me a line if your well remains dry and I can point you in the direction of some sweet spots out that way.
