Nice old factory you got going there! How did the place smell like? We have an active sugar factory I'm my city it it's got that weird sweet garbage smell... it's gross.

So is it gutted or is there still a big sweet center?
I was in the old Domino in PHL 30 or so years ago before any demo work started.
A sticky sweet mess with an intact lab, science library.
Corn subsidies destroyed the cane sugar industry and left us with a shitty too sweet substitute for cane sugar; HFCS. Sucks... many of our candy manufacturers went to Canada as a result.
Swell bubble gum was one. I was there a couple times before it closed in Havertown PA. It was sad to see it after it closed... so many of their gums and hard ball candies I had eaten over the decades.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
