Today at a well known location in American Canyon a 25 y/o female took a bad step and fell through a hole in the roof of a structure approximately 2 stories to the ground. I've seen the pictures of the rescue effort and can tell you that ground isn't soft.
She was packaged in to a stokes basket by the local Fire Dept and airlifted by CHP H-32 to Queen of the Valley with major trauma. She is expected to survive.
Social media is blowing up with people demanding that the owner demolish the location.
So, who is it? Does anyone have info and can fill the PSW in on what exactly happened so that we can prevent this from ever happening again.
Be safe and pay attention to each other out there.

$100 says it was an IG explorer trying to get that cliche shot of themselves looking off into vastness of the bando world. I hope her skull-faced bandanna and smoke bombs weren't harmed in her fall.

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. But CHP has it posted to their facebook page with pictures here. From the pictures, looks like she walked straight into a well-defined hole, not even a hole from decay.
It also made the news in other places. She was with her boyfriend (fortunately) and neither of them were cited for trespassing.

I do find it strange that the two weren't cited. Putting myself in the shoes of the property owner, I'd insist on pressing charges because I would presume that it would help protect me in court should the dumb-asses decide to try to hold me responsible for their medical bills.
(Aside from the possibility of theft/vandalism, fear of somebody getting hurt in hard-hat/hazardous conditions is what motivates most property owners to secure their decrepit properties.)
