I really wish I had time to adjust the exposure for this shot. It could've come out a lot nicer.

Now it's story time, for anyone here just for the pictures that was the last one so feel free to skip this. So right after taking the previous shot my buddy goes, "We need to leave someone just pulled up." Initially, I thought they might be urban explorers until I saw one man come out of the car in business attire. We rush downstairs to get out, until we realize the people are about to come in, which makes us split up, not sure why, with me heading to the basement and my friend upstairs. I settle on hiding under the staircase thinking they won't come down since it's flooded. As I'm hiding I can hear the conversation. The formal man is trying to convince the other two to invest in his renovation of the place into a bread and breakfast. He goes over the immediate plans to secure and alarm the place along with other subjects to interest his c potential investors. That's when I hear him say, "Now the basement is flooded but you can see a little bit down there." He and another walk down and poke around with their flashlights. His light goes over my shoe and that's when I hear the one guy say," Hey wait a minute..." I freeze. He continues, this time yelling, "Hey Barb, do we have boots in the car?" She doesn't reply so they believe her to be upstairs, they decide to finish the tour upstairs then return to the car to get boots. Luckily, a window in the basement was open, we had noticed it as a potential POE earlier. I climbed out and checked my phone to see my friend was in the car waiting, he had escaped. Knowing this I snuck up the property line as much as I could and booked it. To this day I'm still not sure if I was seen. I was full of Adrenaline and didn't notice several cuts I got, overall it was kind of fun and funny looking back. Anyways, thanks for viewing!

Cool place man. Thanks for sharing the tale too! I also dug the links you had in the DB post. Was this a recent explore? I just may swing down there this weekend. Only about 2hrs from me.....

Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

I've been really interested in checking out this place. I really like that shot in the purple room, I've seen it some many times, but I never grow tired of it.

First time I ever saw that, I thought it was an abandoned restaurant. Eventually I found out where it was thanks to someone who forgot to blur out a street name...

Thanks! It was recent, if you want to check it out I would definitely do it this weekend since they want to trip it with alarms.

If you want to check it out do it soon. It won't be worth risking an alarm if they add it in the future.

gahh! May not happen then. My friend had surgery this past week and it's going to take several weeks to recover. He's the only person I explore with anyways. It's not a huge problem though. We hit up that other popular mansion about a month ago and that was great.

I like the interior this place. Very bright and lots of colors it seems. But I liked the little story at the end. Talk about a near miss!
