What's up guys. I'm new to the site and new-ish to the Chicago area. I'd like to find some good spots but I don't know many people here yet so I don't really have many leads. Any tips on climbing in the city?

This is going to sound a little obvious, but I've known people who've messed it up before. Roofs are generally found up, not down.

...Okay, I'll bite. How did someone end up this confused?
"Sorry, I didn't know I'm not supposed to be here," he said, knowing full well he wasn't supposed to be there. |

Why do you need people to find a building in Chicago? They're everywhere you look. Pick one and go and don't do anything stupid. Also, because of your name, I feel the need to say this: if you happen to get on one, please be aware that posting public pics from roofs is a fast track to getting them sealed up. It's not worth the dreams of a nike sponsorship.

This thread is going well... truth, some of the best roofs are underground. [insert thermonuclear weapon]
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |

I honestly still don't know. We were halfway up and he was taking forever with his gear. Finally I said I wasn't waiting for him, and next thing I knew I was on the roof and he texted me to say he was back down on the ground. Same guy, once I was trying to maneuver him from a bus lane into a country road where he could park, and when I said "go" he would stop and when I said "stop" he would go.

Whoa forgot I posted this and haven’t been on in a while. And idk, doing things is more fun with people. Also I can assure you I’m not out searching for a sponsorship

It's a lot more difficult these days; most of the high, doable rooftops have been locked down in the last five years due to Insta fame and some high profile deaths. That's not to say there's nothing left to summit, only that one may have to get more creative with access.
do you know how to waltz? |

That makes sense. Welp, I guess if anyone wants to go hmu
