Despite my lack of forum activity, I have been up to a decent number of explores over the past three or so months.
My summer has been crazy. I've realized since about June, much of my exploration has been an escape, and rather therapeutic. My emotional turmoil of life is put aside to feel the fear of trespassing, or the raw emotion of seeing a person's life burnt to ashes.
Anyway, I've been slow to edit enough photos to make individual sets on each place I've visited, so have a small compilation. When I get to it, I'll make some more tailored threads.

In thinking about myself and exploring Toronto, I envisioned this photo;
Burned-out structures fascinate me. I love the looks of things that you cannot manipulate with bare hands become bent and distorted.
Life left behind...
Shadows and contrast;
Taken before summer's full blossom;
Not really sure how to conclude this one, just hope you enjoyed it, I guess.
One day I got a good camera.

Who puts shingles over slate? Bad restoration.
I wuv old slate roofs; wonder what it looked like 100 years ago...

I feel your pain when it comes to editing, life always has me too busy to sit down and edit.
Anyways, I like the burnt out roof picture. I'm a fan of any photography that makes me feel something, and that shot does it for me.
Glad exploring is an escape for you! Keep it up and stay safe.

I'm onboard here. That window alcove is awesome. Really sucks nothing like this gets built anymore, and those that are left decrease in numbers literally daily....
Give abandonment a reason for its sacrificial reclamation to nature. Love it. Remember it. Take a picture. Share it. Leave the decay to nature.

Far too labor intensive. Heavy as well.
Even finding qualified slate roofers for repairs is hard.
Slate roofs are an art... built by true craftsman.
A good slate roof kept intact can easily last a hundred years or more.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.
