Minister's Treehouse, Crossville TN

Surely this place must have been visited by lots of folks on here, but when I searched "treehouse" I didn't see any posts about it. I saw a video of this place being posted a few times on my newsfeed and after doing a bit of research found out it was only 2 hours away from where I live in Nashville. A couple months later I finally found myself passing through the area while geocaching and got to explore it. One of the coolest experiences I've ever had here in Tennessee.

Interesting. I wanted to stop by there on one of our trips, but I heard the owner watched it pretty closely and there were cameras. You couldn't even take photos from the gate/fence.

From what I’ve heard/read the owner put up the no trespassing signs merely as a formality after the state shut it down. Apparently he still wants the public to enjoy his life’s work, but just can’t openly do so. I believe he still lives further back on the property. When I first visited there were two other cars of people visiting . One drove all the way from NY. There’s a well worn path right beside the fence straight back to the treehouse.

This place is fantastic and heartbreaking. It’s terrible to see how it’s being treated by some people.

That was really cool.
More like a tree mansion.
Sucks it got torched... probably was arson.

Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Shame to see such a unique location go up in smoke. I'd hoped to visit someday.

This was so disappointing to hear! I truly regret not taking the time to stop on my way back from NY/PA earlier this summer.
