One of my favorite things to find and photograph are spiral staircases. I'd like to see your shots of a spiral staircase, or anything that is captivatingly round or twisty. I'll start us off with three pictures of mine. 1. A spiral staircase from the roof of a famous factory.
2. Under the smokestack of one of my favorite spots.
3. Under another smokestack at an old powerplant.
See you a Round!
I'm here for a good time not a long time. |

Those smokestack hots are pretty cool. Before reading the caption, I couldn't tell if it was looking up or down one. Definitely gives that feeling of falling into a void.

Thanks! When I first looked at them I noticed it could also appear as if you were walking to the end of a tunnel. It's cool how many different perspectives can arise without context.

The Octagon house is NOT abandoned. While the vast majority of Urbex/Rurex is indeed abandoned, it is not required. This place is open for tours, and is just an incredible piece of history. Wikipedia: "The Octagon House in Watertown, Wisconsin, also known as the Octagon House Museum or the John Richards Octagon House, was built in 1854 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971." 919 Charles Street Watertown, Wisconsin 53094 http://www.waterto...house_mainpage.htm
